Tata Avinya EV: India’s Luxury Electric SUV Set for June 2026 Debut – Price, Range, and What We Know

Tata Motors is gearing up to disrupt the premium electric vehicle segment with the highly anticipated Tata Avinya EV. Slated for a major milestone on June 15, 2026, this "Pure EV" marks Tata's transition from mass-market leader to a formidable player in the global luxury EV space.

The Architecture: Powered by JLR Roots

Unlike previous Tata EVs that were adapted from internal combustion engine (ICE) platforms, the Avinya is built on the Gen 3 Electrified Modular Architecture (EMA). This platform is sourced through a strategic partnership with Jaguar Land Rover, ensuring that the Avinya offers world-class handling, safety, and performance.

Expected Pricing and Market Position

The Tata Avinya is expected to start at an ex-showroom price of ₹40 Lakh, with top-tier variants potentially reaching ₹60 Lakh.

  • Competitors: It will go head-to-head with the Hyundai IONIQ 5, Kia EV6, and upcoming luxury offerings from Mahindra’s XEV range.

  • The Brand: Tata plans to sell the Avinya under a dedicated premium brand channel, offering a "phygital" retail experience.
