The Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler is one of the most anticipated launches in the mid-capacity segment for 2026.
Expected to hit the Indian market in March 2026, the Scrambler variant is positioned to compete directly with the Royal Enfield Scram 440 and the Triumph Scrambler 400 X.
Estimated Price: ₹2.20 Lakh – ₹2.50 Lakh (Ex-showroom)
Expected Launch: Late March 2026
Primary Rivals: Royal Enfield Scram 440, Yezdi Scrambler, and Triumph Scrambler 400 X.
The Scrambler retains the heart of the Mavrick 440 but introduces significant hardware changes to handle light off-roading and trails.
The bike is powered by the familiar 440cc, air/oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine developed in collaboration with Harley-Davidson.
Maximum Power:
Peak Torque:
Transmission: 6-speed manual with an Assist & Slipper Clutch.
To earn its "Scrambler" badge, the bike features several aesthetic and functional modifications:
Suspension: Long-travel telescopic front forks (likely with fork gaiters) and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock.
Wheel Setup: Expected to feature a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel combo with block-pattern, dual-purpose tires.
Ergonomics: A taller, braced handlebar for an upright riding stance and a redesigned ribbed "bench" seat for better movement.
Armor: Inclusion of a metal bash plate, a stubby visor, and an upswept exhaust for better water wading and clearance.
Display: A fully digital TFT instrument cluster (upgraded from the standard LCD).
Connectivity: Turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts, and smartphone integration via Bluetooth.
Safety: Dual-channel ABS (potentially switchable for off-road use) and all-LED lighting.
Hero MotoCorp is pivoting toward the premium lifestyle segment. By leveraging the 440cc platform, they are providing a torquey, "thumpy" alternative to the high-revving engines of KTM or Triumph.
